The Siraj Mia Memorial Foundation, founded by Md Monir Hossain, has launched a new humanitarian initiative titled the “Weekly Friday Lunch Program”.
Under the leadership of Md Rafy Hossain, President of the Foundation, the program officially began this Friday at the premises of Siraj Mia Memorial Model School, South Baridhara Residential Area.
Through this initiative, freshly cooked meals are being served every Friday after Jummah prayers to around 300 underprivileged and needy individuals, with the number set to increase gradually based on community demand.
The program aims to ensure that no one in the area goes hungry on this blessed day and that every act of service is carried out with dignity and compassion.
Volunteers from the Foundation, South Baridhara Youth Club, and local residents are working together to maintain hygiene and discipline during distribution.
President of SMMF, Md Rafy Hossain, remarked,
“Our goal is to make kindness a weekly habit, not a seasonal gesture. As more people come forward, we will keep expanding our reach to serve every person in need.”
The Foundation has committed to continuing the program every Friday until further notice, as part of its broader mission to promote compassion, unity, and sustainable community welfare.
Siraj Mia Memorial Foundation continues to uphold the legacy of social responsibility envisioned by its founder, Md Monir Hossain, and remains dedicated to serving humanity through meaningful, consistent action.
