Video Shows Israelis Kill Surrendering Palestinians

A video has emerged showing soldiers from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) — specifically border police units fatally shooting two Palestinian men in Jenin, West Bank, just moments after they appeared to surrender unarmed.
In the footage, the men exit a building with their hands raised and their shirts lifted to show they are not carrying weapons; they kneel and lie on the ground before troops, yet are then ordered back into the building only to be shot at close range.
The two men have been identified by Palestinian authorities as 26-year-old Al‑Muntasir Abdullah and 37-year-old Yousef Asasa. Both were killed in the shooting. The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed their deaths.
The Israeli military acknowledged that its forces opened fire during the raid and said the case is under review.
Their statement claims the men were “wanted individuals” allegedly tied to a terror network and that fire was directed toward them after they exited the building. However, the statement does not explain why the men apparently disarmed and surrendered, were shot.
The killings have drawn harsh condemnation from human-rights groups and international observers, who say the footage appears to show an extrajudicial execution and flag it as a possible war crime. Palestinian officials have called for international intervention, labeling the act a “cold-blooded execution.”
At the same time, a top Israeli official, Itamar Ben‑Gvir, the National Security Minister, publicly backed the shooting, stating that “terrorists must die,” and defended the actions of the border police involved.
The incident has intensified criticism of Israeli military conduct in the occupied West Bank, sparking renewed calls for accountability and for external oversight, especially as violence and raids increase across Palestinian territories.
