‘Except Israel’ reinstated on Bangladeshi passports

The phrase "except Israel" has been reinstated on Bangladeshi passports, according to a letter signed by Deputy Secretary Nilima Afroze of the home ministry on April 7.
Nilima Afroze confirmed the development to The Daily Star today.
The director general of Department of Immigration and Passport was asked to take necessary measures to implement this change.
The sentence "This passport is valid for all countries of the world except Israel" used to appear on Bangladeshi passports in the past, until the phrase "except Israel" was dropped in 2021 during the Awami League's tenure in power.
