FYD Career Conference & Job Fair 2025 Empowers Youth in Northern Bangladesh

The Foundation for Youth Development (FYD) has successfully concluded its three-day Career Conference & Job Fair 2025 at the Lalmonirhat District Council Auditorium, setting a new milestone in youth empowerment, employability, and sustainable development in northern Bangladesh.

The event witnessed record participation from Rangpur, Nilphamari, Kurigram, and Lalmonirhat, where young people engaged in intensive workshops on career development, skill enhancement, and leadership training. Alongside professional networking and corporate engagement, participants also received hands-on guidance to prepare for future employment and entrepreneurship.

One of the key highlights was the on-site recruitment initiative, where 63 young professionals received immediate job offers from leading companies, including ACI PLC, Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited, SMC Enterprise Limited, and YCDH, while many others advanced to the final stages of corporate hiring processes.

The conference was inaugurated with a multifaith ceremony and attended by distinguished guests. Chief Guest, Former Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister, Principal Asadul Habib Dulu, emphasized the urgency of youth development and employment generation, appreciating FYD for bringing such a transformative program to Lalmonirhat for the first time.

Special Guest, Ms. Nasrin Nahar Jeneva, President of FYD, underlined the critical importance of building a knowledge-driven, skill-based workforce as a foundation for sustainable development in Bangladesh.

In his keynote address, Mr. Mirza Rakib Hasan Shovon, Founder & Secretary General of FYD, and Keynote Speaker of the conference, reaffirmed FYD’s guiding principle of “Skill, Strength, Sustainability”. He highlighted that professional training, employment opportunities, and leadership development are the true engines of long-term national growth, noting FYD’s commitment to equipping young people with both the mindset and tools for success.

Beyond recruitment and training, FYD also launched its flagship youth sustainability campaign, “Safe Tomorrow”, aimed at school-aged children. The program focuses on hygiene, sanitation, first aid, and environmental responsibility, laying the foundation for healthier, safer, and more socially responsible communities.

The event concluded with a tree-planting and community initiative, generously supported by Intertek Bangladesh, underscoring FYD’s holistic vision of combining youth empowerment with environmental and social sustainability.
