US Embassy Warns Bangladeshi Students to Comply with Student Visa Rules

The US Embassy in Dhaka has warned Bangladeshi students studying in the United States to comply with the conditions of their student visas. It said unauthorised work outside studies, frequent class absences, or leaving an academic programme could result in visa cancellation.
The embassy issued the warning in a social media post at around 11am on Saturday, August 22.
According to the notice, a student visa may be cancelled if a student drops out, fails to attend classes regularly, or withdraws from an academic programme without informing the educational institution.
The embassy also said such violations could affect not only a student’s current visa status but also their eligibility for future US visas. Students may face difficulties when applying for visas in the future for travel or further study in the United States.
To avoid potential complications, the embassy advised Bangladeshi students in the US to follow all visa conditions and remain attentive to maintaining their lawful student status.
