New IVAC Rules for Indian Visa Appointments in Bangladesh
Published : 16:55, 6 October 2026
The Indian Visa Application Centre (IVAC) has issued new guidelines for Bangladeshi applicants regarding visa appointment bookings. The new instructions, issued on Tuesday, October 6, specify when new appointment slots will open and the hours during which applicants can make bookings.
Under the new guidelines, fresh appointment slots for the following two weeks will generally be released every Thursday or on the last working day of the week. However, slot availability will depend on the concerned mission and visa section.
Subject to availability, appointment bookings will be open from 12 noon to 5pm from Sunday to Thursday. On Saturdays, applicants will be able to book appointments between 10am and 12 noon.
Applicants will not be allowed to book an appointment for the same day. Instead, they can select an available date within the following two weeks, subject to the centre’s working days and available slots.
IVAC has advised relevant applicants to follow the updated schedule and complete their appointment bookings on time to facilitate the visa application process.
