Pritom and Shehtaz End Their 10-Year Relationship

Singer and actor Pritom Hasan and model-actress Shehtaz Monira Hashem have decided to end their decade-long relationship and move forward with a divorce by mutual consent.

In a social media post on Sunday night (October 4), Shehtaz announced that the couple had mutually decided to end their married life in an amicable and respectful manner.

Pritom Hasan and Shehtaz Monira Hashem got married on October 29, 2022, after dating for approximately five years. The couple first met in 2017 while working on the music video for Pritom’s song Jadukor, which marked the beginning of their relationship.

After five years of dating, they tied the knot at a five-star hotel in Sreemangal, surrounded by scenic tea gardens and hills. Their wedding celebrations included a traditional gaye holud ceremony the night before.

However, the couple has now decided to part ways. In her post, shared at 10:42 pm on Sunday, Shehtaz wrote, “After 10 years together, Pritom and I have mutually decided to end our married life in an amicable and respectful manner.”

She expressed gratitude for the memories they had shared and said they continued to care for each other. However, over time, they had come to realise that going their separate ways would be better for both of them due to differences in mutual understanding.

“After much thought and consideration, we have reached this decision. With the support of our families, we are now proceeding with the divorce process,” she wrote.

Shehtaz also requested friends, colleagues, and members of the media to respect their privacy and approach the situation with sensitivity during this period of transition.

She said the couple hoped to navigate this new chapter of their lives with understanding and support from those around them.
