Health Minister Visits Injured Doctor Ahmed Hossain at Hospital

Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Hossain visited the National Cancer Hospital to see Dr Ahmed Hossain, Deputy Director of the hospital, who was injured in an attack by unidentified assailants.

The minister went to the hospital on Monday evening to inquire about the doctor’s condition and spoke with the attending physicians regarding his treatment.

According to hospital sources, Dr Ahmed Hossain (50) was returning home after finishing his office duties when he was attacked earlier in the afternoon near a lane behind the old BRAC University campus.

Two to three unidentified individuals reportedly stabbed him in the right arm and back before fleeing the scene.

He was later taken to the National Cancer Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment.

The health minister expressed concern over the incident and wished the injured doctor a speedy recovery.
