Maritime Exhibition and Car Market Draw Crowds to ICCB in Dhaka

The International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka has been attracting visitors with opportunities to explore modern maritime technologies and a wide range of vehicles under one roof. The venue is hosting the international maritime and offshore industry exhibition, the 8th BIMEX 2026, alongside the popular Super Sale Car Bazar, bringing buyers and sellers together.

BIMEX 2026 features the latest equipment, technologies and innovations in shipbuilding, port operations, marine engineering, ship recycling and offshore technology. Representatives from participating local and international companies are showcasing their products, technologies and services.

The exhibition, organised by Savour International Limited, was inaugurated on Thursday at ICCB’s Navaratri Hall by Shipping Minister Sheikh Robiul Alam.

According to the organisers, greater use of modern technology, increased investment and stronger international cooperation are essential to unlocking Bangladesh’s vast marine resource potential. Against this backdrop, more than 200 companies from seven countries, including Bangladesh and the Netherlands, are participating in the exhibition. It will remain open to visitors on Saturday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Meanwhile, another edition of the Super Sale Car Bazar opened at ICCB on Friday. Starting at 10:00 am, the event offers opportunities to buy and sell new, used and reconditioned cars, motorcycles and various utility vehicles. The market will continue until 8:00 pm.

Launched on September 4, the event has been held every Friday over a five-week period. The organisers say participation in the car market has increased alongside growing interest from buyers and sellers.

Visitors can view vehicles from different brands and models at one location and compare their features and prices. This can reduce the need for buyers to visit multiple locations when searching for a vehicle. Sellers, meanwhile, have the opportunity to connect directly with potential customers.

The Super Sale Car Bazar is organised by Wizard Showbiz, with ICCB serving as the venue partner.
