The International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka has turned into a bustling hub of commercial activity, hosting three events covering different sectors at the same time. From new and used cars to modern agricultural and food-processing equipment and maritime technologies, the exhibitions have drawn businesspeople, entrepreneurs, buyers, students and industry professionals.

Visitors are exploring products and technologies while seeking business connections, potential partnerships and investment opportunities across the automotive, agriculture, food-processing and maritime industries.

Super Sale Car Bazar Draws Buyers

The ‘Super Sale Car Bazar’, held every Friday through a joint initiative of Wizard Showbiz and ICCB, entered its sixth week yesterday. The market attracted considerable interest from buyers looking to explore new, reconditioned and used vehicles and compare prices, features and facilities.

The market operates every Friday from 10am to 8pm. Rows of vehicles greet visitors as they enter the venue, with new and reconditioned models displayed alongside previously owned cars.

Some buyers were gathering information about vehicle models, prices and specifications from sellers, while others were comparing features across different options. Sellers were also offering various promotional deals to attract customers. Japanese and Chinese electric vehicles (EVs) were among the notable attractions.

Mehedi Hasan Molla, brand and marketing manager at ICCB, said the event had received a positive response over the past few weeks. Around 350 vehicles were brought to the market yesterday, with buyer and seller participation and interest higher than in previous weeks, he added.

Farm to Food Bangladesh 2026 Showcases Modern Technologies

Modern technologies covering the entire agricultural and food supply chain—from production to processing and preservation—are on display at ‘Farm to Food Bangladesh 2026’.

The three-day exhibition is being held at ICCB’s Gulnaksha and Nababaratri halls. Yesterday marked the second day of the event, with visitors moving between stalls throughout the day.

Exhibits include agricultural and food-industry machinery, food-processing technologies, packaging equipment, meat and dairy-processing machinery, animal feed, fertilisers, agricultural inputs and modern food-preservation systems. Teachers and students from several agricultural universities were also seen visiting stalls to learn about the equipment and technologies.

According to the organisers, the exhibition aims to promote the adoption of modern technologies in agriculture and food production, support food safety, improve processing and packaging facilities, and expand cold-chain infrastructure. It also provides opportunities for domestic and international companies to exchange technologies, establish business connections and develop new partnerships.

Participating companies include Earn Premium Additives, Trad Global Limited, Hunan Niu Machinery Group Limited, Zhejiang Shengkun Kitchenware Company Limited, Jiang Jiulin Technology Company Limited, ACI Animal Health, ACI Fertilizer, ACI Agro Business, Mewa Tech Solution, Foodtech Bangladesh, Fishtech BD Limited and Thermo Care Engineering Limited, among others.

BIMEX 2026 Highlights Maritime and Offshore Technologies

Industry professionals, businesspeople and visitors are also gathering at ICCB to explore technologies related to shipbuilding, ship repair and the maritime sector.

The eighth edition of the international maritime and offshore exhibition, ‘BIMEX 2026’, is taking place at the Puspaguchchha and Nababaratri halls. Yesterday was the second day of the three-day event, which concludes today, Saturday.

Organised by Savour International Limited, the exhibition has brought together more than 200 companies from seven countries, including Bangladesh and the Netherlands.

Exhibits feature shipbuilding and ship-repair equipment, navigation and communication systems, marine engineering tools and technologies for the offshore industry.

According to the organisers, the participation of local and international companies is creating opportunities for visitors to explore new maritime technologies and equipment. The event is also facilitating business networking, technical knowledge-sharing and potential future collaborations among industry stakeholders.

Participating companies include Ocean Electronic Limited, Golden Maritime Technology, TSI Maritime, Shree Bangla Bold Builders, Offshore and Marine Engineer Limited, Khulna Shipyard Limited, Group Nautica, ACI Marine and Riverine Technology Limited, Shipdyne Limited and Marine House, among others.

A Common Platform for Technology and Business Networking

Although the three events focus on different industries, they share a common objective of promoting modern technologies and strengthening business connections.

At ICCB, stakeholders from the automotive, agriculture, food-processing and maritime sectors are exploring products and solutions relevant to their businesses while seeking opportunities for collaboration, new partnerships and investment.

Together, the events highlight the role of trade exhibitions in bringing buyers, sellers, manufacturers, technology providers and industry professionals under one roof.
