Tarique Rahman Thanks Chhatra Dal Leader Basit for Successful Rally at Shahbagh

Tarique Rahman, Acting Chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has extended his appreciation to Kazi Zia Uddin Basit, Vice President of the Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (BNP’s student wing), for his responsible and disciplined role in organizing a recent student rally at Shahbagh in the capital.

On Tuesday (August 5), the central Chhatra Dal issued an official letter signed by its President and General Secretary, conveying this message of gratitude.

The letter stated:

 “The student rally held on August 3 at Shahbagh intersection in memory of the martyrs of the July Uprising was conducted with great success and discipline. Your sincerity, dedication, sense of responsibility, and organizational commitment played a significant role in this success.

For that, the organizational guardian of Chhatra Dal, Tarique Rahman, has expressed his heartfelt thanks and best wishes to you. May your journey ahead be even more successful.”
Chhatra Dal’s Office Secretary Jahangir Alam added that, in addition to Basit, congratulatory letters were also sent to 258 central leaders and top leaders from various city and district units.
The rally focused on remembering the martyrs of the historic July Uprising and reaffirmed the student organization's commitment to continuing the movement to restore democracy in Bangladesh.
