With the trust, love, and support of the people of Bangladesh, leading national daily Jugantor continues its journey forward—this time achieving a major milestone on social media. The Jugantor YouTube channel has officially surpassed 1 million subscribers, marking a significant success for its multimedia division.

To celebrate the achievement, the Jugantor family hosted a cake-cutting ceremony on Saturday afternoon in a warm, informal event at the newspaper's conference room. The celebration was led by Multimedia In-Charge Amit Hasan Robin, and attended by Editor Abdul Hai Shikder, along with Deputy Editors Ahmed Dipu, Ehsanul Haque, and BM Jahangir, Chief News Editor Abdur Rahman, City Editor Mizan Malik, Chief Reporter Masud Karim, Online Editor Hasan Sharif, Online In-Charge Ataur Rahman, HR Head Morshed Alam, and journalists from various departments.

In his welcome speech, Editor Abdul Hai Shikder remarked, “All day, we hear about crises and sorrow. We yearn for good news, but often it is hard to find. Amid this scarcity, the achievement of Jugantor Multimedia reaching one million subscribers is indeed a piece of good news. I extend heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved in this success.”

He further praised the youthful team behind the multimedia wing, saying, “This is a young team, and just as sons take on responsibility when their fathers step aside, these young professionals will one day take on the responsibilities of the nation.”

Emphasizing the spirit of the Liberation War and the interests of the motherland, Shikder advised working with the nation, its people, and Jugantor in perfect harmony. “Success requires hard work and perseverance, and these young journalists have what it takes to embrace that challenge,” he added.

Quoting revolutionary leader Che Guevara, he said, “Every action we take is a declaration of war—against injustice and narrow-mindedness, in favor of national interest. In one line: the country comes first.”
