Ordinance Approved to Establish ‘Dhaka Central University’ with Seven Major Government Colleges

The Advisory Council has approved the ordinance for the establishment of Dhaka Central University, a new public university to be formed by bringing together seven major government colleges in the capital.

The approval was granted at a meeting of the Advisory Council held on Thursday, January 22.

The information was disclosed later in the afternoon by the Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary, Shafiqul Alam, during a briefing at the auditorium of the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka.

The proposed university aims to integrate the academic administration and governance of the seven large government colleges under a single institutional framework, marking a significant step in restructuring higher education in the capital.
