Rain likely to occur across country

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast rain or thundershowers with lightning flashes and temporary gusty winds over the country in the next 24 hours.“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions and at many places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said the Met Office today (July 3). Day and night temperatures may fall slightly over the country, said the BMD.The highest temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 34.8 degrees Celsius in Rangpur and Sayedpur under Rangpur Division, while today’s minimum temperature was 24.3 degrees Celsius in Tangail.
