Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has officially unveiled a commemorative postage stamp marking the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The launch ceremony took place on Thursday (June 11) at the Prime Minister’s office in the National Parliament Secretariat. During the event, the Prime Minister also released a souvenir sheet with an envelope valued at Tk 50 and a data card worth Tk 5.

A special commemorative cancellation seal was used as part of the occasion, highlighting the significance of the upcoming global football tournament.

Among those present at the ceremony were Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Fakir Mahbub Anam, Ministry Secretary Bilkis Jahan Rimi, Additional Press Secretary to the Prime Minister Atikur Rahman Ruman, and Additional Director General of the Postal Department S. M. Harunur Rashid.

The commemorative stamp and related collectibles have been introduced as part of Bangladesh’s celebration of FIFA World Cup 2026 and are expected to attract football enthusiasts as well as stamp collectors across the country.
