MP Fazlul Haque Milon Donates One Month’s Salary to Flood Relief Fund, Urges Others to Contribute

Gazipur, July 12: Demonstrating solidarity with people affected by the recent floods across the country, Gazipur-5 Member of Parliament A. K. M. Fazlul Haque Milon has announced that he will donate his one-month parliamentary salary to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.
The announcement was made on Sunday during the regular monthly meeting of the District Law and Order Committee held at the Bhawal Conference Hall of the Gazipur Deputy Commissioner's Office.
Alongside his personal contribution, the lawmaker called upon government officials, public representatives, and all concerned individuals to donate at least one day’s salary to support flood-affected communities.
His appeal received an overwhelming response from participants at the meeting, who expressed their willingness to join the humanitarian initiative and contribute to relief efforts for those impacted by the disaster.
Speaking at the meeting, MP Milon said that standing beside people affected by natural calamities is a moral and humanitarian responsibility shared by all members of society.
He also urged affluent individuals, elected representatives, and both public and private sector organizations to come forward and extend assistance to flood victims in their time of need.
The lawmaker thanked all attendees for their prompt and positive response to the initiative, emphasizing that collective efforts and social responsibility are essential in helping disaster-stricken communities recover and rebuild their lives.
