Constituencies Ahead of the Thirteenth National Parliamentary Election- The National Citizens’ Party (NCP) has announced its candidates for the first phase of the upcoming Thirteenth National Parliamentary Election, declaring nominees for 125 constituencies.
The announcement was made on Wednesday at 11 a.m. during a press conference held at the party’s temporary office in Banglamotor, Dhaka. Prior to revealing the candidate list, the head of NCP’s Election Steering Committee, Nasiruddin Patwary, stated that the party is preparing for what he described as a “ballot revolution.”
He urged voters to cast their ballots in favor of “Yes” in the referendum scheduled for election day. At the same time, he instructed party candidates to campaign both for votes for the party’s symbol, the Shapla Kali (Water Lily Bud), and for a “Yes” vote in the referendum.
Nasiruddin confirmed that the names of 125 candidates were being released in this initial phase. During the event, the committee’s member-secretary, Tasnim Jara, explained that the nomination forms had been made publicly accessible to all citizens, resulting in more than fifteen hundred forms being collected.
She added that the NCP’s candidate list would demonstrate notable exceptions due to the wide range of applicants.
