Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson for the Inqilab Mancha and a prospective independent candidate for the Dhaka-8 parliamentary seat who sustained grievous injuries in a shooting incident on 12 December 2025, has been moved from hospital care in Dhaka toward international medical transfer.

After initial emergency treatment, Hadi was transferred from Dhaka Medical College Hospital to Evercare Hospital in Dhaka due to the severity of his condition and lack of clinical improvement, with medical personnel reporting extensive brain trauma and critical status before transfer preparations.

On 15 December 2025, at approximately 13:15 local time, an ambulance transported Hadi from Evercare Hospital to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport as part of the logistics for his scheduled air ambulance transfer to Singapore for advanced medical care.

The movement was carried out under medical supervision, and he was accompanied by two of his brothers during the journey to the airport.

This transfer follows an official decision made on the directive of the Chief Adviser of Bangladesh, in consultation with health advisers, hospital specialists, and Hadi’s family, to seek higher-level treatment abroad.

It was determined that an air ambulance equipped with critical care facilities was necessary, given the absence of improvement in his neurological condition and the need for advanced therapeutic interventions not readily available locally.

State authorities confirmed that all arrangements for the overseas transfer were completed, including negotiations with medical facilities in Singapore and other regional destinations, and that the state would cover treatment costs.

The timing and execution of the transfer were contingent on ensuring that Hadi’s condition was stable enough to endure the flight.

The ongoing management of this case remains closely monitored by both medical and government officials, reflecting a coordinated response to a high-profile violent incident occurring amid an active political context preceding the national elections.
