Energy Minister Assures No Fuel Shortage; Two More Vessels Arriving on March 9

Energy Minister Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku has assured the public that there is no fuel shortage in the country and that there are sufficient reserves available. He urged the public not to panic over the recent concerns about fuel supply.
In a statement made to the press on Saturday, March 7, at the Prime Minister's Office, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku emphasized that the government is working to ensure fuel availability, including seeking supplies from alternative sources. He called on citizens, especially the media, to help convey that there is no need for unnecessary anxiety over fuel shortages.
The Minister confirmed that two more vessels carrying fuel are expected to arrive in the country on March 9, which will further stabilize supply. He specifically mentioned that there is no issue with oil supply, and there is no need for people to rush to purchase fuel.
Tuku further stated, "We have sufficient reserves. There is no need to stand in long lines overnight. People will be able to get fuel when they go to the petrol stations."
He also announced that, starting from March 8, mobile courts will begin their operations to ensure that fuel distribution remains smooth and fair across the country.
