BARC Assistant Director Arrested in Youth Development Department Question Leak Case

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested Sohag Fakir, an assistant director at the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council (BARC), in connection with the alleged question leak in a recruitment examination conducted by the Department of Youth Development.
He was arrested on Tuesday night, October 20, from the Badarpasha area under Rajoir Police Station in Madaripur.
A senior official of the CID’s Cyber Police Unit confirmed the arrest to the media.
According to the official, investigators found information indicating Fakir’s alleged involvement in the case filed over the recruitment examination question leak. He was arrested with assistance from Rajoir Police Station.
Two smartphones were seized from him at the time of his arrest, the official said, adding that Fakir was being taken to Dhaka.
