Panic has gripped customers of Flight Expert, a leading Bangladeshi online travel agency, after its website suddenly went offline and reports emerged that the company’s CEO, Salman Bin Rashid Shah Sayeem, has allegedly fled the country. A general diary (GD) has been filed at Motijheel Police Station by company representative Sayeed Ahmed, claiming that Salman informed staff via a WhatsApp message that he was leaving Bangladesh. When employees arrived at the office on Saturday, they found the CEO missing, with no official notice or explanation provided.

The complaint also highlights significant concerns over pending financial transactions involving both customers and suppliers. Some employees have allegedly received threats from aggrieved clients unable to confirm their travel bookings.

Mezbah Uddin, officer-in-charge of Motijheel Police Station, confirmed the complaint had been received and that an investigation is underway. "We have begun looking into the allegations, but details remain confidential at this stage," he said.

Several other travel agencies have reportedly been unable to validate bookings issued through Flight Expert, raising fears of a larger financial crisis within the travel sector.

As of now, Flight Expert's website remains inaccessible, and all attempts to contact CEO Salman have gone unanswered. The company has yet to release any official statement regarding the situation.

Authorities have urged affected customers to file individual complaints as investigations continue.
