Preparations are underway to transfer Prime Minister’s Political Adviser and Member of Parliament Mirza Abbas to Singapore for advanced medical treatment as his health condition continues to be monitored by doctors.
Mirza Abbas, also a member of the BNP Standing Committee, is currently receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka, where he has been kept under close observation by a medical board of specialist physicians. The decision to move him abroad was taken following medical advice from his doctors and discussions with his family.
According to party sources, an air ambulance is scheduled to land in Dhaka at around 3:00 pm on Friday (March 13). The aircraft is expected to depart from Dhaka for Singapore at approximately 6:00 pm, carrying Mirza Abbas for further treatment.
He reportedly fell ill earlier this week and lost consciousness while drinking water during iftar, after which he was rushed to the hospital late at night when his condition did not improve. Since then, he has been receiving treatment under a specialized medical board.
Senior leaders and political figures have visited the hospital to inquire about his condition. Among those who met him and his family were senior BNP leaders, including Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, as well as other political figures who offered prayers for his recovery.
Family members and party colleagues have urged the public to pray for his quick recovery. If the transfer proceeds as planned, Mirza Abbas will be admitted to a hospital in Singapore for further specialized treatment and medical evaluation.
