In a miraculous turn of events in Uttar Pradesh, India, a woman who was declared ‘brain dead’ by doctors began breathing normally again after her ambulance hit a large pothole on a bumpy road. The incredible incident has left the family and medical staff in awe, with the family calling it a “miracle.”
According to Indian media reports, 50-year-old Vineeta Shukla from the Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh was admitted to a hospital in Bareilly on February 22 after falling seriously ill. After conducting various tests, doctors confirmed that her brain activity had almost completely stopped, and she was in a ‘brain-dead’ state.
The family, devastated by the doctors' prognosis, made the difficult decision to take her home for the final rites on February 24. Vineeta’s husband, Kuldeep Kumar Shukla, recalled that she had stopped breathing, and only a faint heartbeat was left.
As the ambulance was on its way home, traveling on the Bareilly-Haridwar Highway, it hit a large pothole near Hafizganj, causing a severe jolt. After the impact, to everyone’s shock, Vineeta suddenly started breathing normally again.
The family was stunned and immediately stopped the preparations for her last rites, rushing her back to the hospital. She was taken to Neurosity Hospital, where doctors began immediate treatment.
Kuldeep Kumar Shukla explained, “The doctors had said there was no hope. I had already called home to start the funeral arrangements. When the ambulance hit a large pothole, my wife’s breathing suddenly returned to normal. Realizing this, I informed the family and rushed her back to the hospital. She conquered death!”
Doctors at the hospital confirmed that Vineeta’s condition improved rapidly with proper treatment and necessary tests, and within a day, she regained a significant amount of health. The family reported that after returning home, Vineeta is now able to speak normally and is recovering well.
This incident has left both the medical community and Vineeta's family astonished, with many seeing it as an extraordinary act of fate.
