The Bangladesh Nationalist Freedom Fighters Party has announced a 151-member (partially declared 101-member) central convening committee of the Jatiotabadi Muktijuddher Projanmo(Nationalist Pro-Liberation War Generation).

BNP Acting Chairman Mr. Tarique Rahman has been included as the No. 1 member of the committee, while the late Arafat Rahman Koko has been listed as the No. 2 member.

In a press release signed by Bir Muktijoddha Ishtiaq Aziz Ulfat, President of the Central Committee of the Bangladesh Nationalist Freedom Fighters Party, it was stated that the committee was formed with the approval of BNP Acting Chairman Mr. Tarique Rahman. At the same time, all previously announced district and metropolitan committees have been dissolved.

The press release further stated that all leaders and activists of the Jatiotabadi Muktijuddher Projanmo have been instructed to actively participate in the upcoming national parliamentary election activities in coordination with the district and metropolitan presidents and general secretaries of the Freedom Fighters Party.

Earlier, on November 24, 2025, a 101-member central convening committee of the Jatiotabadi Muktijuddher Projanmo was announced, with BNP leader and Dhaka-6 constituency parliamentary candidate Engineer Ishraq Hossain appointed as Convener and Advocate K. M. Kamruzzaman Nannu as Member Secretary.
Convener Ishraq Hossain said,

“At this critical time for the country, a certain group is attempting to belittle the Great Liberation War in pursuit of political gain. The Nationalist Pro-Liberation War Generation will remain committed to presenting the true history of the nation’s birth to the younger generation and will politically and socially resist all attempts at distorting History.”
He further stated,

“Mr. Tarique Rahman and Arafat Rahman’s father, Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, Bir Uttom, declared independence at great personal risk to himself and his family and also led from the battlefield. Likewise, millions of freedom fighters—like my father, Bir Muktijoddha Sadeq Hossain Khoka—sacrificed all personal attachments to defeat the powerful Pakistani forces and liberate our beloved motherland.”

Ishraq Hossain also said that the Jatiotabadi Muktijuddher Projanmo will work tirelessly to ensure due recognition and honor for all martyred and living freedom fighters.

Meanwhile, Member Secretary Advocate K. M. Kamruzzaman Nannu said,
“This new convening committee will further energize the organization’s future activities. In particular, it will play a vital role in organizing the pro-liberation war generation, strengthening organizational capacity, and spreading the party’s ideology and principles among the younger generation.”
