Shwapno distributes mangoes to underprivileged communities

Shwapno, one of Bangladesh’s leading retail chains, has organised a nationwide mango distribution campaign to share the joy of the season with underprivileged communities.
As part of the initiative, titled "Shwapno Mango Festival", the retail chain distributed fresh mangoes among disadvantaged people at the TNT Field in Mohakhali on Wednesday. Similar programmes were held simultaneously at Rabindra Sarobar in Dhanmondi, Mirpur-1, and Rajabari Chourasta in Uttara, as well as in Chattogram, Khulna, and Sylhet.
The campaign aims to make seasonal fruits more accessible to low-income communities while promoting social inclusion and community engagement, according to a press release. 
Md Mahadi Faisal, deputy director (Category Growth & ESG) at Shwapno, said the company sourced the mangoes directly from farmers and sought to extend the joy of the mango season beyond its stores.
He said the initiative reflects Shwapno’s commitment to supporting local farmers, ensuring access to quality food, and creating a positive social impact through community-focused programmes.
Through the festival, the retailer continues its efforts to connect farmers, customers, and communities while promoting access to fresh seasonal produce across the country.
