Joint Forces Release Tk 1.5 Million Seized from BNP Candidate Anny’s Campaign Vehicle After Verification

Joint security forces have released Tk 1.5 million that was seized from a vehicle used in the election campaign of BNP candidate Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anny in the Lakshmipur-3 constituency, following verification.
According to local authorities, the cash was recovered from a vehicle being used for campaign-related activities. Along with the money, BNP activist Badrul Alam Shyamal was detained for questioning. After reviewing documents and conducting necessary checks, the joint forces released both the money and the individual.
The information regarding the release was confirmed by Additional Superintendent of Police Rezaul Haque of the district. Officials stated that the matter was examined in line with election monitoring protocols and legal procedures.
In a Facebook Live broadcast, Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anny addressed the issue, stating that the money was part of his official campaign expenditure. He claimed the funds were being transported for distribution among polling agents at various centers in preparation for election activities.
Authorities have indicated that monitoring of cash movement during the election period remains ongoing to ensure compliance with electoral laws and prevent any irregularities.
