According to police, Anwar Hossain was arrested from the Bandar area of Narayanganj at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday (June 2). On the same day, Jewel was also apprehended from the same area with assistance from RAB-11.

Police said the robbery took place in the early hours of May 31 in front of a residence on Nurjahan Road in Mohammadpur. A group of assailants arrived in a pickup vehicle and threatened two women with sharp weapons before robbing them of mobile phones, gold jewelry, cash, clothing, and other personal belongings.
