Two Former Army Officers Arrested in Dhaka

Two former army officers, retired Lieutenant Colonel Debashish and retired Lieutenant Gulshan Ara, have been arrested during an operation in the capital, according to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

DMP Detective Branch Additional Commissioner Md. Shafiqul Islam confirmed the arrests on Monday morning. The two were reportedly arrested in connection with cases filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act and the Cyber Security Act.

According to a source cited in the report, former army officer Debashish was arrested over alleged links to cases involving Gulshan Ara, who is also a former army officer.
