Somoy Khan shines in the fashion world with a unique identity

Emerging fashion designer Somae Khan, also known in media circles as Masud Rana, is steadily building a strong identity in Bangladesh’s fashion industry through talent, creativity, and dedication.
Born in AGB Colony in Motijheel, Dhaka, Somae Khan studied at Motijheel Model High School and hails originally from Cumilla. From an early age, he was drawn to creative pursuits and was also involved in acting through Motijheel Theatre.
He began his journey in fashion design in 1997, initially showcasing handmade panjabis, sarees, salwar-kameez, and tops at local fairs. These exhibitions helped him gradually establish his presence in the industry.
Over time, his work expanded into costume design for films, TV commercials, and music videos. He has also collaborated with several leading fashion houses and brands in the country, further refining his creative expertise.
Somae Khan prefers to stay away from the spotlight and focus on his work. He believes that life experiences, both good and bad, have shaped his journey and growth.
He maintains friendly relationships with many figures in the media industry, including late film star Salman Shah, actress Shabnur, and media personality Bipasha.
With passion, perseverance, and public support, Somae Khan aims to reach greater heights in his fashion career in the coming years.
