Clinical dietitian and nutritionist Rubaia Parvin Reety has completed a decade in the food and nutrition profession, reflecting on a journey marked by professional achievements, personal challenges, and resilience.

In a recent Facebook post, Reety shared memories of her ten-year career, highlighting her professional milestones, experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the personal loss she overcame along the way.

A graduate and postgraduate of the Department of Food and Nutrition Science at the University of Dhaka, Reety currently serves as a clinical dietitian at Farazy Hospital in Banasree, Dhaka.

Her professional journey began in 2016 with Marks Premium Milk, a product of Abul Khair Group. In 2018, she joined Kodomo Baby Care Bangladesh as its Chief Nutritionist. The following year, she worked as a Project Nutritionist for several reputed organisations, including KKT, British American Tobacco Bangladesh (BATB) Canteen, and Marks Milk.

Alongside her corporate engagements, she also worked as a nutrition consultant for online video commercials (OVCs) for several brands, including Bashundhara Red Flour, RFL Water Pump and Gym & Jolly.

Despite her professional progress, 2019 was also a difficult year in her personal life as she lost her mother. Recalling that period, Reety said she went through a month of deep emotional trauma following her mother's death. She gradually returned to professional activities and started her second consultation chamber at Acro Medical.

Her association with Farazy Hospital also began in 2019. According to her account, she personally submitted her CV to the hospital's chairman, Dr. Anwar Farazi Emon, and subsequently appeared for a written examination and interview. After successfully passing the selection process, she began providing consultations to patients at the hospital.

She also continued her professional responsibilities during the COVID-19 pandemic, despite the risks involved in delivering healthcare services. Her tenure at Farazy Hospital has now crossed seven years and is approaching its eighth year.

Beyond her clinical responsibilities, Reety has been actively involved in promoting health and nutrition awareness through the media. Since 2018, she has appeared as a presenter and nutrition consultant on various television channels, including Deepto TV, SA TV, Independent Television, Desh TV, Nexus Television and Asian Television.

Reflecting on her professional achievements, Reety said, "Although I may not be a very prominent personality, the name 'Rubaia Reety' has become a recognised brand to many people. I am very happy with my professional life, Alhamdulillah."

As she marks this milestone, the nutritionist has expressed gratitude to everyone who supported her throughout the journey and sought their continued prayers and goodwill.
