Najmun Nahar has created history by visiting 184 countries around the world, becoming the first Bangladeshi to achieve the remarkable feat. She has also become the first Muslim woman in the world to travel to 184 countries carrying her national flag.

Najmun began her global journey in 2000 after participating in the India International Adventure Program. As a solo traveler, she has explored most countries by road, facing numerous challenges, dangers, and life-threatening situations along the way.

During her travels, she promoted global messages such as “No War, Only Peace,” “Save the Planet,” and “Stop Child Marriage,” spreading awareness about peace, humanity, and social responsibility across the globe.

On June 1, 2018, she reached her 100th country milestone at Victoria Falls on the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe. Later, on October 6, 2021, she completed her 150th country visit by traveling to São Tomé and Príncipe. She achieved the milestone of visiting 175 countries in September 2024 and finally completed her 184th country journey in the Bahamas in December 2025.

Born in Lakshmipur, Bangladesh, Najmun moved to Sweden in 2006 on a scholarship and earned a higher degree from Lund University. In 2015, she completed another degree in Human Rights and Asia from Seoul National University.

Professionally, she works as a researcher, motivational speaker, and goodwill ambassador for several international organizations. Through her journey, she continues to inspire children and young people worldwide to dream beyond limitations.

In recognition of her efforts to promote world peace, Najmun received the prestigious “Peace Torch Bearer Award” in the United States in 2019. The award has previously been received by global icons including Nelson Mandela, Mikhail Gorbachev, and Mother Teresa.

She has also received nearly 60 national and international awards, including the Women Empowerment Award, Power Women Award, Game Changer of Bangladesh Award, Pride of Bangladesh Award, and Global Legacy Award.

Najmun Nahar’s extraordinary achievement has brought pride and recognition to Bangladesh on the global stage.
