Mohammed Raisul Islam Bappy Promoted to Head of Communications at Daraz Bangladesh

Mohammed Raisul Islam Bappy has been promoted to Head of Communications at Daraz Bangladesh, marking a significant milestone in his professional journey with the leading e-commerce platform.
Prior to this promotion, Bappy served as Communications Lead at Daraz Bangladesh, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening the company’s public relations, media strategy, corporate communications, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
During his tenure at Daraz, he successfully led communications for major campaigns, including 11.11, 12.12, Ramadan, and Eid sales events. Under his leadership, the company secured more than 600 media coverages annually across leading newspapers, television channels, and digital platforms. He also managed crisis communications, enhanced brand visibility, and maintained strong relationships with key media stakeholders.
Before joining Daraz, Bappy built an extensive career at The Daily Star, where he worked for nearly nine years in business development and corporate communications roles. He contributed to revenue growth, strategic partnerships, brand collaborations, and high-impact marketing projects while helping numerous organizations strengthen their communication strategies.
Earlier in his career, he worked at Edu-Smart as an Operations Executive and began his corporate journey through an internship at United Finance Limited.
With more than a decade of experience in public relations, media management, strategic communications, brand development, stakeholder relations, and crisis management, Bappy has established himself as a respected communications professional in Bangladesh’s corporate sector.
In his new role as Head of Communications, he will lead Daraz Bangladesh’s overall communication strategy, brand reputation management, media relations, and stakeholder engagement efforts, supporting the company’s continued growth and market leadership.
