A total of 134 outstanding creative campaigns and advertisements were honoured across 32 categories at the 14th edition of COMMWARD: Excellence in Creative Communication, presented by SMC Enterprise Limited and powered by Walton Group.
Held at Le Méridien Dhaka, the gala night celebrated the country’s most compelling campaigns under the flagship initiative of Bangladesh Brand Forum.
This year, 2 campaigns earned the Grand Prix, while 8 Gold, 39 Silver, and 85 Bronze recognitions highlighted excellence across diverse creative disciplines.
This year’s Commaward drew an impressive 1411 nominations from 87 creative agencies, brands, and organisations. Eligible campaigns spanned both traditional and digital platforms and were required to have been active between June 1, 2024, and August 15, 2025.
Opening the gala, Shariful Islam, Founder & Managing Director, Bangladesh Brand Forum, stated, “Bangladesh’s creative communication industry has once again proven its capacity to adapt, innovate, and create work that resonates deeply with audiences.
In a world where brands must rethink how they communicate and connect, Commward stands as a celebration of that creative resilience and the vision shaping the future of this industry.”
To ensure a fair and high-standard evaluation, the award followed a rigorous two-tier jury system. 250 distinguished jurors spearheaded the process, with 10 shortlisting juries identifying the leading entries before the 10 Grand Jury panels determined the final recognition.
Reflecting the dynamic evolution of communication, this year’s Commward introduced six new categories—B2B, Best Unpublished Work, Campaign for Positivity, Creative Business Transformation, Long Term Brand Platform, and Luxury.
Among some notable winners, Grameen Danone Foods Limited and Backpage PR won the Bronze award in the Campaign for Sustainability category for their campaign, Women at the Centre of Sustainability.
Designed by Backpage PR, the campaign highlights the Grameen Milk for School Program and the Shokti Doi Cup Recycling Project, showing how rural women dairy farmers and women working in waste management are helping build a sustainable, circular economy in Ullapara, Sirajganj. Backpage PR is known for its purpose-driven communication, guided by the belief that every story matters when it reaches the right audience.
Continuing the tradition for the third consecutive year, FCB Bitopi, in collaboration with Commward, presented the ‘Reza Ali Independent Spirit Award’, honouring the visionary legacy of the late Reza Ali—Founder of FCB Bitopi and one of the pioneers of Bangladesh’s advertising industry.
This recognition celebrates independent, bold, and imaginative creative pursuits. This year, FCB Bitopi received the honour for Domex Bangladesh’s creative campaign “Nak Diye Dekhun”, which exemplified the award’s spirit through its originality and fearless storytelling.
The gala also honoured two towering figures of Bangladesh’s advertising industry with the Outstanding Lifetime Achievement Award: Muneer Ahmed Khan, Managing Director & Creative Chief, Unitrend Limited, and Zulfiqar Ahmed, Director, Unitrend Limited. Their contributions have shaped the foundation of the country’s advertising landscape, influencing generations of creative talent and industry practice.
Since its inception in 2009, Commward has become one of the most respected creative platforms in Bangladesh.
More than an award, it is a driving force that elevates the standards of strategic creativity, purposeful communication, and cultural storytelling. The 14th edition reaffirmed its role in inspiring campaigns that push boundaries and set new benchmarks for excellence in the country’s communication industry.
Earlier in the day, the 14th Communication Summit was held at the same venue, drawing marketing, branding, advertising, and creative communication professionals for a day of insight and exchange.
Centred on the theme “Chaos, Culture & Creativity: Reimagining the Communication Canvas,” the summit examined the shifting realities of an industry where cultural movements, consumer expectations, and digital fragmentation are constantly reshaping the role of creativity.
