A female member of the Bangladesh Ansar force has been withdrawn from duty following allegations that she was soliciting votes in favor of the Daripalla symbol inside a polling centre.
According to election officials, the incident occurred during voting hours when the Ansar member, assigned to maintain security at the centre, was accused of urging voters to cast their ballots for the candidate represented by the Daripalla symbol. The matter was reported to the presiding officer and subsequently brought to the attention of higher authorities.
After a preliminary inquiry, authorities decided to immediately remove the Ansar member from polling responsibilities to ensure neutrality and uphold the integrity of the election process. Officials emphasized that security personnel are strictly prohibited from engaging in any form of political campaigning or attempting to influence voters.
Local administrative sources stated that further departmental action may follow based on the outcome of an internal investigation. They reiterated that maintaining impartial conduct at polling centres is essential for ensuring a free and fair election.
The Election Commission has consistently instructed all law-enforcement and auxiliary forces deployed during elections to carry out their duties with complete neutrality to preserve public confidence in the voting process.
