Israel, in coordination with the United States, has carried out renewed airstrikes against targets in Tehran and Beirut, escalating the ongoing conflict that has engulfed much of the region.

The operations followed a wave of retaliatory attacks by Iran and allied militia groups, contributing to one of the most intense periods of violence seen in recent Middle Eastern tensions.

Israeli forces reportedly struck strategic locations in Tehran and areas in Beirut, focusing on sites associated with militant organisations and regional command structures.

The bombardment in Beirut came after Iranian‑aligned Hezbollah launched missiles and drones toward Israeli territory, prompting a significant retaliation by the Israeli military.

Civilian areas in southern Beirut were hit, leading to casualties and widespread destruction in residential districts. Amid these developments, the United States Department of State issued evacuation orders for American citizens from several Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Bahrain, due to mounting security threats.

In Saudi Arabia, the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh was struck by two drones early Tuesday, causing a small fire and limited material damage. No injuries were reported, but the attack underscored the widening scope of hostilities.

The strikes on Tehran and Beirut mark a deepening of the conflict, which began earlier this week when U.S. and Israeli forces launched a coordinated offensive against Iranian targets. The offensive has led to a severe humanitarian toll and raised fears of broader regional war involving multiple states and non‑state actors.

Diplomatic efforts to contain the crisis have so far been unable to halt the cycle of attacks and reprisals. International reactions have ranged from calls for de‑escalation to warnings about the consequences of continued military action.

The situation remains volatile, with airspace closures, embassy security alerts, and military mobilisations occurring across the region as governments respond to rapidly changing threats.
