Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has conveyed Eid-ul-Azha greetings to Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and the people of Bangladesh.

In a message sent to the Bangladeshi Prime Minister, Modi reaffirmed New Delhi’s commitment to strengthening people-centric cooperation between the two neighbouring countries, according to the Indian High Commission in Dhaka.

The Indian Prime Minister said Eid-ul-Azha reflects the timeless values of sacrifice, compassion, and brotherhood, which are essential for building a peaceful and inclusive world.

He noted that the festival remains an integral part of India’s rich and diverse cultural heritage and is celebrated with great enthusiasm by millions of Muslims across the country.

Highlighting bilateral relations, Modi said Bangladesh and India share a deep bond rooted in shared history, cultural ties, and common aspirations for peace, stability, and prosperity.

He also expressed India’s willingness to work closely with Bangladesh to further expand cooperation in areas that directly benefit the people of both nations.

The Indian Prime Minister expressed hope that the shared vision for development and progress would contribute to greater prosperity and well-being for the citizens of both countries.

Modi concluded his message by wishing Prime Minister Tarique Rahman good health and success, while also praying for continued peace and progress for the people of Bangladesh.
