Man Killed in Road Accident on Dhaka-Mawa Expressway Service Lane

An unidentified man was killed in a road accident on the service lane of the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway in Sirajdikhan, Munshiganj.
The accident occurred late Tuesday night, October 7, in front of the Nimtala Underpass on the Mawa-bound side of the road.
Muhammad Shafiqul Islam PFM, deputy assistant director of Munshiganj Fire Service and Civil Defence, said Sirajdikhan Fire Station received information about the accident at around 1:35am.
A rescue unit from the fire station quickly reached the scene and found the unidentified man lying under the wheel of an unidentified vehicle. Fire Service officials said he had died at the scene.
The rescue team later recovered the body and handed it over to the highway police.
The victim’s name, identity and address could not immediately be established. Legal proceedings are underway in connection with the accident.
