BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman is set to travel to Chittagong tonight, marking his return to the port city after almost 20 years as part of his nationwide campaign for the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election.
The announcement was made in a press briefing held at the BNP’s central election office in Gulshan, Dhaka.
According to party officials, Tarique Rahman will depart from Dhaka by air around 7:35 PM tonight. His visit comes after a series of campaign stops across the country, including recent rallies in Sylhet.
The Chittagong visit is expected to be followed by several engagements, including discussions with youth groups focused on policy issues such as education, employment, agriculture, and women’s empowerment.
Tomorrow morning, he will join a major public meeting at Polo Ground, where he is anticipated to address supporters and outline his vision for development and national policies.
Party leaders and activists have been preparing extensively for his arrival, arranging logistical support and organising local events to engage the public.
The visit has generated significant anticipation among party members and residents of Chittagong, with preparations underway across different parts of the city.
The tour reflects BNP’s broader efforts to strengthen outreach and voter engagement ahead of the national election, with additional stops planned in other districts as part of the campaign trail.
