Two Children Killed in Wall Collapse in Dhaka’s Badda

Two children have tragically lost their lives after a boundary wall collapsed in the Badda area of Dhaka, Bangladesh, on March 11.
The incident occurred at around 11:30 AM in the East Badda, Lane 10 area, when the old boundary wall of a construction site fell on the children while they were playing near the wall. The victims, Ayesha Moni (10) and Nusrat Jahan Mariam (5), were trapped under the debris when the wall collapsed.
Ayesha Moni’s father, Iqbal, told reporters that the children were playing near the site when the incident took place. Neighbors alerted them, and they were quickly rescued from under the rubble. The children were rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where doctors declared them both dead after examination.
The bodies of the two children have been sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy. The police have confirmed the incident and are continuing their investigation into the cause of the collapse.
