Jamaat-e-Islami Amir and Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, was interrupted by Speaker Major (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed during the second day's proceedings of the 13th National Parliament on March 15.

The incident occurred when Dr. Shafiqur Rahman attempted to raise questions outside of his allotted time during the session. Sultan Mahmud Babu, the Member of Parliament for Jamalpur-2, was instructed to raise questions. However, Dr. Rahman stood up and made comments regarding the formation of the Parliament, acknowledging that it was formed through the July people's uprising.

He mentioned, "On the first day of the session, we acknowledged that this Parliament was formed under special circumstances following the July mass uprising. There are high expectations from the public regarding this Parliament."

At this point, the Speaker intervened and directed Dr. Rahman to wait for the Q&A session to conclude before he would be given a chance to speak.
