Flight operations have begun returning to normal following the temporary ceasefire in the Middle East conflict, although air traffic has not yet fully stabilized.
Public Relations Officer of the airport, Engineer Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil, said on Sunday that 15 arrival and 11 departure flights operated on Friday and Saturday (April 10–11) on Middle East routes, while 10 flights were cancelled during the same period.

Among the cancelled flights were one arrival flight and one arrival and four departure flights.
In addition, one arrival and one departure flight on the Sharjah route were cancelled, while one arrival and one departure flight on the Muscat route.

Khalil said the situation in the Middle East has begun to stabilize, allowing flight operations to gradually resume. Flights operated by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, SalamAir, Air Arabia, and US-Bangla Airlines on Sharjah, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi routes have started operating again.

He also noted that 297 international flights have been cancelled at Shah Amanat International Airport since February 28 due to the regional instability.
Airport officials said it may take some more time for operations to fully return to normal, but expressed hope that flight schedules will quickly stabilize if the ceasefire holds.
