The government has adjusted retail fuel prices in the domestic market in line with the recent rise in global oil prices.
According to the new rates, the price of diesel has been set at Tk 115 per litre, octane at Tk 140, petrol at Tk 135, and kerosene at Tk 130 per litre.
The revised prices will come into effect from April 19, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources.
The ministry stated that the price adjustment was made to align domestic fuel prices with the upward trend in the international market.
Earlier, on March 31, the government kept fuel prices unchanged for April. At that time, diesel was priced at Tk 100 per litre, kerosene at Tk 112, petrol at Tk 116, and octane at Tk 120 per litre.
