Fresh LPG Marks World LPG Day 2026 with Commitment to Clean Energy and Sustainability

Fresh LPG has celebrated World LPG Day 2026 by reaffirming its commitment to providing safe, reliable, and clean energy while promoting environmental sustainability across Bangladesh.
To mark the occasion, the company organized a tree plantation programme at the headquarters of Meghna Group of Industries (MGI). The initiative was inaugurated by MGI Director Tanvir Mostafa.
According to the organizers, the programme highlights the close connection between clean energy adoption and environmental conservation. Fresh LPG, a subsidiary of MGI and a member of the World Liquid Gas Association, currently serves millions of consumers across Bangladesh through nearly five million LPG cylinders.
Speaking at the event, Tanvir Mostafa said World LPG Day serves as a reminder of the vital role clean energy plays in improving the quality of life and protecting the environment. He noted that Fresh LPG remains committed to expanding access to safe and dependable LPG while continuing initiatives that support a greener and more sustainable future.
This year, World LPG Day is being observed globally under the theme “LPG: Pass it Forward,” emphasizing the importance of clean energy in improving public health, reducing environmental impact, and building a sustainable future for the coming generations.
As part of the celebration, Fresh LPG has launched a nationwide tree plantation campaign. The initiative is being implemented through the company’s headquarters, four LPG plants, and more than 250 distributors across the country.
The company has also invited members of the public to participate by planting trees at their homes, rooftops, balconies, or other suitable locations and sharing photos or videos through Fresh LPG’s social media platforms. Selected participants will receive special gifts as part of the campaign.
Among those present at the event were Fresh LPG Chief Marketing Officer Abu Sayeed Raja, MGI Chief Human Resources Officer Atiq Uz Zaman Khan, Executive Director (Administration) Syed Toufiq Uddin Ahmed (PPM, NDC), Senior General Manager (Audit) Sazzad Hossain, and Senior Deputy General Manager (HR) Md. Hossain Mahmud.
