Anvir Bashundhara Group Foundation Stands by River Erosion Victims in Manikganj

Manikganj Correspondent: The Anvir Bashundhara Group (ABG) Foundation has extended food assistance to distressed people affected by river erosion in Daulatpur upazila of Manikganj.
The relief distribution took place on Wednesday afternoon at Chakhari Charan Government Primary School, where more than 300 disadvantaged people received 25 kilograms of rice each.
Shayla Kabir, wife of Manikganj-1 constituency lawmaker S A Jinnah Kabir, attended the programme as the chief guest.
Among others present at the distribution programme were Kazi Mostak Hossain Dipu, convener of the district Jubo Dal; joint convener Asif Iqbal Rony; district Swechchhasebak Dal joint convener Kazi Nadim Hossain Tuel; Daulatpur upazila Jubo Dal member secretary Abdus Salam; former vice-president of the upazila Jubo Dal Lokman Hossain; and people from different walks of life.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by the ABG Foundation.
Speaking as the chief guest, Shayla Kabir said, “We have always stood by disadvantaged people and will continue to do so. The humanitarian assistance provided by the ABG Foundation is not limited to Manikganj; such support is being extended across the country.”
Local residents said river erosion has left many families facing difficulties with housing and livelihoods. They added that the food assistance provided by the foundation has brought some relief to those affected.
The initiative reflects the foundation’s efforts to support vulnerable communities affected by natural disasters and humanitarian crises.
