Raisa Sultana began her journey in the entertainment industry with a dream of delivering quality work to audiences. However, the road to success was far from easy. After nearly two years of auditions, offers for minor roles, and various challenges, she has finally opened a new chapter in her career by winning the ‘Face of Tomorrow’ title.
Raisa said that during the early stages of her career, she was mostly offered supporting or minor roles. Whenever opportunities for major roles arose, she often heard comments such as, “You are new. Why should we give you an opportunity?” She also said that on some occasions, she was given indications that personal meetings were expected instead of discussions about professional work.
“I decided from the very beginning that no matter how hard I had to work for an opportunity, I would never compromise myself. If there had to be sacrifices, they would be for my work and for maintaining my dignity,” Raisa said.
Although she worked in television serials during this period, she did not get the opportunity to play a lead role in a single-episode drama. Later, she registered for the project ‘Cholo Ghure Ashi’, where 10 directors are set to create 10 short stories.
After registering for the project, Raisa participated in a boot camp and successfully advanced through five stages of elimination to secure her place in the final round.
Speaking about winning the ‘Face of Tomorrow’ trophy, Raisa said, “This trophy is not just an award. It is the biggest answer to a question I had asked myself. I wondered whether I could do it, and I found the answer in winning this trophy.”
Raisa believes the achievement will inspire her to take greater responsibility in her work. She hopes to use the recognition as motivation to deliver more meaningful and quality projects to audiences in the future.
