Taliban Warns “Our Reach Can Extend to Pakistan’s Neck” Amid Rising Conflict

The Taliban government in Afghanistan has issued a stark warning to Pakistan’s leadership, saying that if Pakistan continues its military operations, the Taliban’s forces are capable of responding decisively, with rhetoric suggesting their “reach can extend to Pakistan’s neck.”
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid made the comments as tensions escalate between the two neighboring countries following recent clashes along the Afghanistan–Pakistan border.
He stated that Afghanistan seeks peace and prefers to resolve differences through dialogue, but if hostilities continue, Afghan forces are prepared to escalate their response.
The warning comes against the backdrop of ongoing military actions and airstrikes in border regions, which both sides have blamed each other for continuing.
Mujahid emphasized that while Afghanistan remains open to negotiations, it retains the capability to conduct operations if provoked, framing the message as a clear signal to Islamabad.
Mujahid also noted that strong ties with other regional nations, including India, are not directed against Pakistan, underscoring Afghanistan’s commitment to sovereign relations rather than targeting any specific country.
The situation remains tense, with both governments monitoring developments and the international community calling for de-escalation and dialogue to prevent further conflict.
