The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has issued new guidelines for Umrah pilgrims during the last 10 days of Ramadan to avoid congestion at the Grand Mosque in Mecca and ensure safety for the worshippers.

As per reports from Gulf News, the ministry advises pilgrims to avoid peak hours or the busiest times to perform Umrah. According to the traffic index, the busiest times are between 4 PM to 10 PM and 5 AM to 8 AM.

The most comfortable and least crowded time for performing Umrah is considered to be from 8 AM to 3 PM. Additionally, 11 PM to 4 AM experiences moderate crowding.

To maintain discipline and safety, the authorities are using advanced security technologies and artificial intelligence to regulate the movement of people within the Grand Mosque premises.

As the last days of Ramadan are expected to witness a significant rise in the number of Umrah pilgrims, security forces have ramped up their preparations to ensure smooth operations. The key objective of these measures is to ensure that pilgrims can perform their religious duties with ease and in a crowd-free environment.
