Five-Member Panel of Speakers Nominated, Including Mirza Abbas

A five-member panel of speakers has been nominated to preside over the 13th National Parliament in the absence of the Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
The announcement was made on the first day of the first session of the Parliament, where Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed disclosed the names of the panel members.
As per the Parliamentary Rules of Procedure, the panel speakers will take turns in the absence of both the Speaker and Deputy Speaker, presiding over the parliamentary sessions in order of their nomination.
The nominated panel members are:
Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed (Dhaka-8)
Goyeshwar Chandra Roy (Dhaka-2)
Dr. Abdul Moin Khan (Narsingdi-1)
Mohammad Monirul Haque Chowdhury (Comilla-6)
ATM Azharul Islam (Rangpur-2)
During the session, Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed clarified that the member whose name appears at the top of the list will take the seat of the Speaker in the event of their absence and will manage the proceedings of the session.
