The government has undertaken an extensive nationwide program to observe the July Mass Uprising Day 2026 with full state recognition and dignity. Relevant instructions have already been issued to ministries, divisions, government agencies, and local administrations to ensure the successful implementation of the observance.

According to the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, decisions taken at an inter-ministerial meeting have been circulated among all concerned institutions for implementation. The directives were recently issued through an official letter signed by Deputy Secretary Shabnam Mustari Rikta of the ministry.

Authorities are making coordinated preparations from the highest levels of government to district and upazila administrations. The Cabinet Division, Prime Minister’s Office, Armed Forces Division, various ministries, law enforcement agencies, and local government bodies have all been brought under the framework of the national observance.

Security agencies, including the Bangladesh Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, RAB, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), Ansar and VDP, Coast Guard, NSI, DGFI, and Dhaka Metropolitan Police, have been instructed to undertake necessary preparations.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Bangladesh Television (BTV), Bangladesh Betar, the Department of Information, and the Mass Communication Department have also been directed to conduct extensive awareness and publicity campaigns highlighting the historical significance of the day.

As part of the national program, the government plans to organize discussion sessions, commemorative events, cultural programs, photo exhibitions, and special publications. Similar activities are expected to be arranged at divisional, district, and upazila levels across the country.

A wide range of ministries and sectors—including education, culture, youth and sports, health, agriculture, environment, social welfare, religious affairs, ICT, women and children affairs, expatriate welfare, and local government—will participate in the observance.

Additionally, organizations such as the National Freedom Fighters Council, Liberation War Museum, Bangladesh Scouts, BNCC, Freedom Fighters Welfare Trust, and Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad have been informed to take part in the commemorative activities.

Government officials said the objective of the state-level observance is to highlight the historical importance and legacy of the July Mass Uprising and to pass its significance on to future generations.
