The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has reduced the price of Jet A-1 fuel for both domestic and international airlines.

According to a notification issued on Sunday, the price has been reduced by Tk 15.67 per litre for domestic carriers and by USD 0.10 per litre for international airlines.

Under the new pricing, the domestic jet fuel rate has been fixed at Tk 150.21 per litre, down from Tk 165.88.

For international airlines, the price has been set at USD 0.9808 per litre, reduced from USD 1.0823.

BERC Secretary Md. Nazrul Islam Sarkar said the new prices will come into effect from midnight on June 7, 2026.

He added that the revision was made based on the average Platts rate in the international market from May 22 to June 4, 2026, along with the USD exchange rate used in LC settlements.

The decision was taken following proposals from Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) and Padma Oil Company Limited (POCL), after a public hearing conducted under the BERC Act, 2003.
